A Winfield resident since 2011, Deb believes that building a strong vibrant community benefits all residents. Her experience as an executive with a fortune 30 technology and media company positions her well in achieving Winfield’s goals for Town Center, properly stewarding taxpayer dollars and ensuring Winfield is a place to discover. In her role, she is responsible for, among other things, strategic policy, contract administration, government and community relations and regulatory compliance. She interacts with governments across 12 states, including the state of Illinois, and is well-versed in the mechanics of local government. Deb understands the vital role local government holds in ensuring the public health, safety and welfare of all residents.
In her first term as Village Trustee, Deb serves on the Winfield Administration and Finance Committee helping to oversee the Village’s finances and the Marketing Communications Commission developing the Village’s communications with residents. Deb believes that open and transparent communications are a benefit to all residents.
Remaining active and engaged in the community is one of Deb’s core values. In demonstration of this value, Deb has served on numerous non-profit boards and currently serves on the Easter Seals of DuPage and Fox Valley Board serving as the Development Committee Chair; Second City Canine Rescue Board serving as the Governance Chair; and was appointed by Governor Pritzker to serve on the Illinois Statewide 911 Advisory Committee. Deb is a member of the Winfield Lions Club and has volunteered at numerous community events such as the Winfield Music Nights, Winfield Criterium and Summerfest5, and Good Old Days.
Deb graduated from Southern Illinois University with a B.A. in radio-television. In 2018, she graduated from the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute, the flagship leadership development program of the cable and telecommunications industry.
